Atlas Corps x @america: Indonesian Public Sector Leadership Initiative 2021

The Atlas Corps x @america: Indonesia Public Sector Leadership Initiative is a special initiative to engage Indonesia’s brightest public sector professionals in a global leadership development opportunity.  We are recruiting young professionals in government, politics, nonprofits, education or a similar social change field for programs online and in the United States.  Two participants will earn a chance to be matched with a Host Organization for a year-long Fellowship in the United States. This initiative is a collaboration between Atlas Corps and @america, and is partially supported by the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia

Themes 

The Atlas Corps x @america: Indonesia Public Sector Leadership Initiative focuses on three themes: Developing Self, Developing Others, and Leading Movements. 

Format 

The Atlas Corps x @america: Indonesia Public Sector Leadership Initiative is organized into five online learning modules: Orientation, Developing Self, Developing Others, Leading Movements, Reflection Retreat. This seven-month online program includes keynote speakers, interactive workshops, self-led activities, discussion groups, and community-building activities with leading U.S. organizations and leaders. Scholars will also work on an individual project focused on development and research on local or regional social issues; projects can be new or existing activities.

Basic Eligibility Requirements

Please note these requirements are unique to this initiative and may differ from other Atlas Corps programs:

— Citizenship and residency in Indonesia;
— Between 22 and 40 years of age;
— A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree;
— At least 2 years of professional experience in the public sector (for example, in government, political groups, or nonprofits that work on good governance or policy);
— English proficiency (oral, writing, reading);
— Technological capacity to participate in video calls (approximately 2 per month);
— Availability to commit to 2-3 hours of online activity and assignments per week during the Institute.

NOTE: If you are NOT an Indonesian citizen, you may apply for the Fellowship or the Virtual Leadership Institute at apply.atlascorps.org.

Atlas Corps Fellows and Alumni are not eligible to participate in the Virtual Leadership Institute. However, Virtual Leadership Scholars are eligible to be considered for the Atlas Corps Fellowship.
